High-Precision Optical-Grade 96-Well Microplate Mold Development and Precision Injection Molding Mass Production Project
Издание: October 29, 2026

During the research and development of life sciences and in vitro diagnostics (IVD) instruments, automated high-throughput screening and chemiluminescence analysis systems impose extremely strict performance requirements on core consumables-the 96-well microplate. Traditional microplates frequently cause automation jams during multi-channel pipette dispensing due to well-to-well spacing tolerances, and suffer from bottom optical distortion and edge effects during fluorescence and microplate readings, leading to unstable detection results. There is an urgent industry demand for an advanced localized microplate mold and mass production solution that combines micron-level geometric precision with high optical transmittance.
Solutions
- Micron-Level Mold Manufacturing & Automation Compatibility: Utilizing ultra-precision CNC engraving and slow-feeding wire electrical discharge machining (WEDM) processes, pore size, well-to-well spacing, and depth tolerances are strictly controlled within +/- 0.01mm, ensuring smooth and reliable operation of multi-channel dispensing workstations at high speeds.
- Optical & Fluid Simulation Optimization: Moldflow analysis is applied to deeply optimize the melt filling path, and mirror electrical discharge machining (EDM) is paired to achieve a bottom optical transmittance stably exceeding 90%, effectively minimizing optical distortion and stray light interference.
- Clean and Sterile Mass Production Assurance: Premium medical-grade high-purity polystyrene (PS) or polypropylene (PP) raw materials are selected, and precision injection molding is conducted within a cleanroom environment using a fine valve-gate hot runner mold design, significantly reducing gate residue and effectively preventing internal stress spots.
Following successful project delivery, the core geometric precision and optical performance of the microplate fully match international first-class standards. Exhibiting exceptional batch consistency and ultra-high optical transmittance in actual high-throughput testing, it enables relevant laboratories and end users to effectively reduce import reliance, significantly enhancing the accuracy and production efficiency of automated detection systems.
