The main function of spiral bevel gear is to transmit power between two perpendicularly intersecting shafts, simultaneously achieving deceleration/speed increase. Compared to straight bevel gears, it offers smoother meshing, lower noise, and stronger load-bearing capacity.
It is widely used in automotive differentials, industrial gearboxes, machine tool spindle boxes, construction machinery, and the transmission systems of mining equipment.

The component undergoes specialized carburizing, quenching and tempering heat treatment.
