Challenge
An aviation equipment manufacturer required a high-precision Aluminum CNC Machining part to serve as an aircraft wiper support structure. Machined from high-strength 7075-T6 aerospace aluminum alloy, this structural bracket posed severe machining challenges. The thin-base frame combined with tall, rigid mounting lugs was highly prone to stress deformation during heavy material removal. Furthermore, the multi-axis linkage mounting holes demanded tight axiality and position tolerances to ensure reliable wiper operation under extreme high-altitude aerodynamic loads.

Solution
To overcome deformation risks and meet stringent aerospace quality standards, Vios implemented a specialized precision CNC machining workflow:
Multi-Stage Stress Relief: Implemented a segmented 5-axis CNC roughing and finish milling process, incorporating intermediate thermal stress-relief annealing to eliminate material tension and guarantee part flatness.
Tight Axial Tolerance Control: Applied customized high-rigidity tooling on 5-axis CNC machining centers, stably maintaining hole axiality and concentricity within ±0.008 mm in a single clamping setup.
Quality Inspection: Performed 100% full-dimension measurement using CMM and conducted non-destructive testing (NDT) to verify structural integrity prior to surface anodizing.

Results
Extreme Load Stability: Maintained structural rigidity under 1.5x nominal aerodynamic resistance and cyclic stress testing without micro-cracking.
Lightweight Optimization: Successfully helped the client reduce component weight by 15% while maintaining critical bending strength.
